ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Joseph Aragon is an American author.
His "Izzy Stone" international thriller series, The Paris Plot and Châtelet, have earned strong praise with words such as: "gripping," "spellbinding, "heartstopping," "riveting," and, "second to none." Using his experience in the West Wing of the White House and years working in presidential, gubernatorial and congressional campaigns, Aragon surveys the geopolitical forces shaping the world, and imagines how they might portend future events of major, even alarming significance. "I try to look just beyond the horizon and anticipate what surprises may lie ahead. A novel allows me the freedom to create a plausible future based on what is happening today. Of course, I try to provide an entertaining tale at the same time." Aragon holds a degree in political science from UCLA and a law degree from the University of Southern California. His international travels have given him a broader perspective on cultures and human behavior. Aragon served as Special Assistant to the President, and was awarded the Presidential Certificate of Meritorious Service by President Carter. Prior to the White House, Aragon was a key aide to Ambassador Robert Strauss, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. |
